If you don't already know this man's story, you should really look it up,  He was the first black player in the NHL in 1958, and wasn't followed by another until Mike Marson in 1974  But his 4 goals and 10 assists over two seasons with the Bruins were only the beginning of his contributions to hockey. He worked as an ambassador to the sport for decades, and was finally inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 2018.  He did all this whle being blind in one eye due to an injury in juniors, on the off chance you weren't already impressed.
